Why it matters
Acceleration times show how your car is really performing, whether you’re curious, comparing tires or checking a tune. Timing them automatically means you capture real runs, not just the ones you remembered to start a timer for.
Automatic, from every trip.
After a trip is saved, Odo scans the route for runs that cross your start and end speeds. It works from a standstill and for rolling runs like 20–60.
- Default ranges: 0–60, 0–100 and 20–60
- Quick presets including 5–100
- Custom ranges from 0–200 to 20–300, in steps of 5
- Runs are checked in every unit, so switching units keeps your history
Built for honest times.
Times are interpolated between GPS samples for better precision, and runs that can’t be trusted are thrown out rather than counted.
- A run from 0 starts at 2 km/h, to ignore GPS drift at a standstill
- Discarded if GPS drops out for more than 3 seconds
- Discarded if you slow down partway, or the run takes over 2 minutes
- Physically implausible acceleration is rejected
Records worth chasing.
See your best time for each range on every trip, and your top runs across all trips.
- Best time and number of runs per trip
- Rank badge and gap to your best
- Speed-over-time chart and route map for each run
- Top 25 runs per range across all trips, also on CarPlay
Always test acceleration somewhere safe and legal. GPS timing is a guide, not a certified measurement.
