Why it matters
A speedometer is only useful if you can read it in the half-second you look away from the road. Odo is built around that glance: large type, high contrast, a HUD that floats on the windshield, and alerts so you notice your speed without looking at all.
60 gauge designs for every ride.
Pick a dial that suits what you drive. There are designs for cars, motorcycles, trains, boats, aircraft and sports, plus navigation layouts with a compass, heading strip and GPS dashboard.
- 9 categories, from Classic and Sport Car to F1, Rally, Bullet Train, Nautical and Fighter Jet
- Dial scale set automatically, from presets, or to any custom maximum
- Six live stats under the gauge: average and top speed, distance, duration, G-force, altitude
- With an OBD2 adapter, swap in RPM, coolant temperature, fuel level or battery voltage
- Speed in km/h, mph, knots, m/s or ft/s, in portrait or landscape
- Five dark themes and light mode, plus eight app icons to choose from
A heads-up display on your windshield.
Put your iPhone on the dashboard at night and the HUD mirrors your speed so it reflects upright in the glass. Brightness jumps to maximum while it’s open and goes back when you leave.
- Mirrored speed, unit and trip stats on a pure black background
- White, green, cyan or red digits
- The speed turns red and a LIMIT badge pulses when you go over your limit
- Start, pause and stop trips without leaving the HUD
Speed limit alerts you control.
Choose a limit and Odo tells you about a second after you pass it, with a beep that plays alongside your music, a vibration and a red warning on screen. Change it with one tap when the road changes.
- Quick presets for common limits, editable up to 12
- Set a different limit for each trip from the gauge
- Mute alerts for an hour or until the trip ends
- Ask Siri: “Set speed limit to 50 in Odo”
- On CarPlay, an over-limit prompt with buttons to adjust the limit
Map mode and Picture in Picture.
Switch to a full-screen map with your speed on top, or float your speed over other apps in a Picture in Picture window while you use your phone for something else.
- Map mode with your route trail and traffic
- Standard, muted or satellite map, in 3D, heading-up or north-up
- Picture in Picture shows speed, your limit, distance and trip time
- Optionally opens on its own when you leave the app
Acceleration times, measured for you.
Odo finds 0–60 mph, 0–100 km/h and 20–60 runs in your recorded trips on its own, so there’s nothing to arm before you go. Add any custom range you want to track.
- Default ranges plus custom start and end speeds
- Times interpolated between GPS samples for better precision
- Runs with GPS dropouts or a slowdown are thrown out
- Best time per range, your rank, and a speed chart for every run
