Why it matters
Video is the most convincing record of a drive, whether it’s a scenic route you want to remember or proof of what happened. Speed and time in the frame make it far more useful than footage alone.
Recording.
Odo records with the iPhone’s main rear camera and lets you control quality, sound and zoom.
- 720p, 1080p or 4K
- Audio on or off
- Pinch to zoom up to 5×, double-tap for 2×
- Pause and resume without starting a new file
- Optional: start recording when the camera opens, or when a trip starts
The overlay.
After recording, Odo adds a clean overlay along the bottom of the frame with your speed sampled several times a second.
- Live speed with its unit
- Clock time
- The Odo icon
Saved where you’ll find it.
Videos go to your Photos library. If a trip is recording they’re attached to it; otherwise they’re kept as quick videos you can still browse in the app.
- Saved to Photos
- Linked to the trip it was recorded on
- A videos list in Stats, with a link to the related trip
Recording stops if you leave the app, and the camera records in portrait.
