Why it matters
Your car’s screen is bigger and better placed than your phone, but most apps barely use it. Odo puts your speed, the trip in progress and your engine’s health right where you can see them, and lets you decide exactly what appears.
Live: your speed and stats.
The Live tab shows your speed and the stats you care about. Its title shows whether a trip is recording, paused or idle, so you always know.
- Seven layouts: grid, list, one or two columns, and value-first versions
- Up to eight tiles in the grid, with optional labels
- 27 stats to choose from: 9 trip and GPS stats and 18 OBD2 readings
- Speed, average and top speed, distance, duration, G-force, altitude, heading and GPS signal
- Engine RPM, load, coolant and oil temperature, fuel level, throttle, battery, airflow, fuel rate, economy and the check-engine light
Speed limit prompts.
Go over your limit for a second and an alert appears on the car’s screen, with buttons to raise or lower the limit on the spot.
- Over-limit alert after about a second
- Adjust buttons in steps of 5, 10, 15 or 20
- Change the limit any time from the More tab
Trips: control and history.
Start, pause, resume and stop recording from the car, with a confirmation before a trip ends, and look back at recent drives.
- Start, pause, resume and stop
- Your last ten trips
- Trip detail with distance, times, speeds, peak G-force, start and end, and acceleration times
Places: saved, nearby and recommended.
Your saved places and what’s nearby, with a recommended section when your car needs attention.
- Saved places
- Nearby fuel stations, EV charging and garages
- Recommendations when fuel drops below 20% or the check-engine light comes on
- Save the spot you’re in with one tap
OBD: your engine, live.
With an OBD2 adapter, the OBD tab shows connection status, the check-engine light, this session’s peaks and live readings by system. The adapter reconnects automatically when CarPlay starts.
- Live readings grouped by system, with boost, economy and air/fuel ratio worked out
- Your custom readings for the current vehicle
- Trouble codes read automatically when the adapter connects
- Tap to reconnect the adapter
More, and making it yours.
The More tab holds your settings and records, and every tab can be rearranged on your iPhone.
- Default vehicle, Live layout and speed limit
- Top sprints, longest trips and top speeds
- Reorder or hide tabs, and choose which opens first
- Convoy and map shortcuts
Odo’s CarPlay screens are in English. Engine readings need an OBD2 adapter, and each car reports different data.
